Atypical fibroxanthoma and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma, or pleomorphic dermal sarcoma, are rare malignant cutaneous neoplasms existing along a clinicopathologic spectrum. Although these tumors share many similarities, recognition of distinguishing characteristics may predict differences in clinical behavior and outcomes.
